Grants

We are pleased to announce that both the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Semantic Web Science Association (SWSA) have contributed funds to support participation by full-time students in ISWC 2011. SWSA and NSF will provide 10,000 € and $20,000 respectively, with NSF funds being earmarked to support students attending U.S. Universities. We anticipate that the SWSA funds will support 15 awards between 600-800€, and that the NSF funds will support 13 awards of approximately $1500, although the actual award amounts could be significantly different, depending on the number of qualified applicants.

Travel Information

In many cases, non-EU nationals are required to obtain the entry permission (Schengen Visa) for Germany. Please consult the advices of the German Federal Foreign Office for further information regarding your country and visa requirements. If you need to apply for a visa, you can request a Letter of Invitation from the ISWC '11 organization to support your application. In addition, we collected useful information about Germany, such as power sockets, time zone and currency.
